PriorityBoard Back to PriorityBoard

Privacy Policy

Effective Date: January 7, 2026

1. Introduction

TC Advisory ("we," "us," or "our") operates PriorityBoard (the "Service"), a web-based priority management application available at priorityboard.xyz. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our Service.

PriorityBoard is designed with privacy as a core principle. The Service operates primarily on your device, and we do not collect, store, or have access to your board content or personal data.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

PriorityBoard is a client-side application. This means:

  • No account required: You can use PriorityBoard without creating an account or providing any personal information.
  • No access to your content: Your board titles, tasks, notes, and other content are stored locally on your device or in your own third-party accounts (Google Drive or Airtable). We cannot access, view, or retrieve this data.
  • No analytics or tracking: We do not use Google Analytics, cookies for tracking, or any other analytics tools to monitor your behavior.
  • No telemetry: The application does not send usage data, crash reports, or telemetry back to us.

3. Information That May Be Collected

Hosting Provider Data: Our Service is hosted on Vercel and our domain is registered with Namecheap. These third-party providers may collect standard server logs as part of their operations, which may include:

  • IP addresses
  • Browser type and version
  • Pages visited and access times
  • Referring URLs

This data collection is governed by the privacy policies of Vercel and Namecheap, and is outside of our direct control. We do not actively access or analyze this data.

4. Data Storage Options

PriorityBoard offers multiple ways to store your data, all of which keep your data under your control:

  • Browser Local Storage (Default): Your data is stored in your browser's local storage on your device. This data never leaves your device unless you choose to sync it.
  • JSON File Export: You can download your board as a JSON file stored on your computer.
  • Google Sheets Sync: If you choose to sign in with Google, your data is stored in a Google Sheet in your own Google Drive account. We do not have access to your Google account or the data stored there.
  • Airtable Sync: If you configure Airtable integration, your data is stored in your own Airtable account. We do not have access to your Airtable account or credentials.

5. Google User Data

When you choose to use Google Sheets sync, PriorityBoard accesses certain Google user data. This section describes in detail what data we access and how we use it, in compliance with the Google API Services User Data Policy.

5.1 Google User Data Accessed

PriorityBoard requests access to the following Google API scopes:

  • Google Sheets API (spreadsheets scope): Allows reading and writing data to Google Sheets. This is used to sync your PriorityBoard tasks with a Google Sheet of your choosing.
  • Google Drive API (drive.file scope): Allows creating new Google Sheets files in your Google Drive. This limited scope only permits access to files created by PriorityBoard, not your entire Drive.

Specifically, the data accessed includes:

  • Spreadsheet metadata (title, sheet names) for spreadsheets you connect to PriorityBoard
  • Cell data within sheets you designate for PriorityBoard sync (your board names, task content, priorities, and timestamps)
  • A list of your recent Google Sheets (file names, IDs, and modification dates) when using the spreadsheet picker

5.2 How We Use Google User Data

PriorityBoard uses Google user data exclusively for the following purposes:

  • Sync your boards: Read and write your PriorityBoard task data to/from a Google Sheet you specify, enabling cloud backup and cross-device access.
  • Create new spreadsheets: When you choose to create a new spreadsheet for PriorityBoard, we create a Google Sheet in your Drive to store your board data.
  • Display spreadsheet options: Show you a list of your available Google Sheets so you can select which one to use for sync.

We do NOT:

  • Store your Google user data on our servers
  • Share your Google user data with any third parties
  • Use your Google user data for advertising or marketing purposes
  • Access any Google data beyond what is necessary for the sync functionality
  • Retain your Google access tokens after your browser session ends (tokens are stored only in your browser's local storage)

5.3 Data Storage and Security

Your Google data is handled as follows:

  • Access tokens: Your Google OAuth access token is stored locally in your browser's storage and is used to authenticate API requests. We do not transmit or store this token on our servers.
  • Board data: When synced, your board data resides in your own Google Sheet within your Google Drive account. We do not have access to your Google Drive or Google account.
  • In-transit security: All communication with Google APIs occurs over HTTPS encryption.

5.4 Revoking Access

You can revoke PriorityBoard's access to your Google account at any time by visiting your Google Account permissions page and removing PriorityBoard from the list of connected apps. After revoking access, PriorityBoard will no longer be able to read or write to your Google Sheets.

6. Other Third-Party Services

In addition to Google (described above), you may interact with these third-party services:

  • Airtable: If you use Airtable sync, your API credentials are encrypted and stored locally on your device. Airtable's use of your data is governed by Airtable's Privacy Policy.
  • Google Fonts: We use Google Fonts to display typography. Google may collect limited data when fonts are loaded. See Google Fonts Privacy.

7. Future Payment Processing

PriorityBoard is currently free during our beta period. In the future, we may introduce paid features that require payment processing. If and when this occurs:

  • We will use Stripe or a similar PCI-compliant payment processor.
  • Payment information (such as credit card details) will be collected and processed directly by the payment processor, not by us.
  • We may receive limited information from the payment processor, such as the last four digits of your card, billing address, and transaction confirmations, solely to manage your subscription.
  • This Privacy Policy will be updated before any such changes take effect.

8. Data Security

We implement security measures to protect data that passes through our Service:

  • All connections to priorityboard.xyz use HTTPS encryption.
  • Sensitive credentials (such as Airtable API keys) stored in your browser are encrypted using AES-256-GCM encryption.
  • We do not store your data on our servers, minimizing security risk.

However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and any accounts you connect to the Service.

9. Children's Privacy

PriorityBoard is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are under 18, please do not use this Service.

10. Your Rights and Choices

Because we do not collect or store your personal data, traditional data rights (access, correction, deletion) are managed by you directly:

  • Local Data: You can clear your browser's local storage at any time to delete all locally stored board data.
  • Google Data: You can delete your Google Sheet or revoke PriorityBoard's access through your Google Account settings.
  • Airtable Data: You can delete your Airtable base or revoke API tokens through your Airtable account.
  • Export: You can export your data as a JSON file at any time.

11. California Residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides you with specific rights regarding your personal information. Because PriorityBoard does not collect, sell, or share personal information, most CCPA provisions do not apply. We do not sell personal information to third parties. If we implement payment processing in the future, we will update this policy with applicable CCPA disclosures.

12. European Residents (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) provides you with certain rights. Because PriorityBoard does not collect or process personal data, most GDPR provisions do not apply to our Service. Your board data remains under your control at all times. If we implement features that involve personal data processing in the future, we will update this policy with applicable GDPR disclosures and legal bases for processing.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
